Working in (Project) Teams

It is possible to work very efficiently with teams in Simplicate. Below you can find more information about working with teams.

Settings

The team settings can be found under Settings > HRM > Teams

Would you like to use teams? Then you need to activate this functionality first by indicating this on the ‘Teams’ tab. You can then specify per module whether you want to use teams within that module.

Have you gone through these settings? Then you can create the desired teams via the ‘Add’ button. After creating a team, you can open the team and add new team members. Team members are employees from the HRM module.

HRM

It is also possible to assemble a team from the HRM module after you have created the team via the Settings. To do this, go to the HRM module and indicate per employee which team(s) they are part of. You do this under the ‘Employee’ tab > Member of team(s).

Once you have done this, the ‘Teams’ filter will automatically appear in the employee overview, allowing you to see at a glance who is in which team.

Project

You can then add the teams to a project, so that only this team (instead of individual employees) can log hours on this project. If you do this, employees who are not part of the added team cannot log hours on the project.

If you do not do anything with this, it means that everyone can view the project and log hours. Once you add a team or individual employees here, only those you add here can see the project and/or log hours on it.

Depending on the user rights, you can set that only the employees who are in that team are allowed to see the project in the Projects module.

Hours

Teams are also implemented in the hours module. For example, on the ‘Hours planning’ tab, you can filter by certain teams to see the team’s hours at a glance.

In Reporting, you can also filter by teams, so you can see the result of a specific team at a glance:
