Custom fields in Insights

Insights is available in our Ultimate Efficiency, Rise and Optimize subscriptions.

Custom fields you've set up in Simplicate can now also be used in Insights. This lets you report even more specifically on the information that matters to your organization.


What can you do with it?

Create reports that match your way of working, including the extra information you capture through custom fields.


An example:

Say you create a custom field "Business unit" on projects, so you can split revenue and hours per department. Previously, this information wasn't available in Insights. Now "Business unit" can be shown as a column in your reports. You can filter, group, and export on your own fields, without having to manually combine data from Excel.

Getting started

For each custom field, indicate whether you want to use it in Insights via Settings → Insights → Custom field mapping. Once you've enabled a field, it's available as a column or filter in your reports.
