Connecting Simplicate to ChatGPT and Claude

Connect Simplicate as a connector to ChatGPT or Claude and work with your Simplicate data directly from your favorite AI tool — ask questions, log hours, and capture timeline notes.

Written by Simplicate Support

You can connect Simplicate to AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude. Once connected, you work with your Simplicate data directly from that tool: ask questions about your relations, sales opportunities, and projects, log your hours, or capture a conversation summary on the timeline, without opening Simplicate.

On your way to a meeting, for example, you can ask ChatGPT by voice for a summary of the customer you're driving to. Afterward, you have your notes added straight to the timeline. Connecting works through Simplicate's official MCP server (Model Context Protocol) and requires no technical knowledge: you provide a single address and log in with your Simplicate account. You also automatically get the same permissions you have in Simplicate, so you can't see and/or do more than you could in Simplicate yourself.

Are you the administrator of your company account? Then only you need to follow the steps below, and all your colleagues can install the connector.

For the most up-to-date overview of the actions Claude and ChatGPT can perform in Simplicate, go to our developer page.

What do you need?

  • Your connection address (endpoint). This is https://[omgeving].mcp.simplicate.app/mcp. Replace [omgeving] with the name of your own Simplicate environment (the part before .simplicate.nl).

For example: if you work in picobello.simplicate.app, the address you need is https://picobello.mcp.simplicate.app/mcp

  • A ChatGPT or Claude account that lets you add connectors. Whether you can do this depends on your subscription with that tool.

Connecting Simplicate to Claude

  1. Open Claude (web or desktop) and go to Customize > Connectors.

  2. Select Add custom connector.

  3. Enter a name (for example Simplicate) and paste your connection address: https://[omgeving].mcp.simplicate.app/mcp.

  4. Confirm. Claude opens a Simplicate login screen — log in and grant permission for the connection.

  5. Done. Simplicate now appears as a connector in Claude, and you can ask questions or have actions performed in a conversation. Your colleagues now see Simplicate as an installable connector and can log in themselves too.

Connecting Simplicate to ChatGPT

  3. Optionally, add our logo for clarity (at the bottom of this article).

  5. Done. Simplicate now appears as a connector in ChatGPT, and you can ask questions or have actions performed in a conversation.

What can you ask or have done?

A few examples of what the connection can do for you:

  • Log hours for yourself or a colleague — including looking up the right project, service, and hour type.

  • Retrieve logged hours to review or copy.

  • Post a message or conversation summary to the timeline.

  • Request information about a relation, project, or sales opportunity.

  • Create or update a sales opportunity.

The set of available actions is growing. Check the current list on our developer page. Missing an action for your use case? Let us know via the Product Portal.

Working securely with the connection

  • The connection works with your own permissions in Simplicate: the AI tool can only see and do what you're allowed to do yourself.

  • The access token is tied to your specific Simplicate environment and does not work on another environment.

  • In ChatGPT and Claude, you can configure which actions you want to allow, and if they always need a confirmation by the user, or if you want to allow it to run without confirmation.

Connecting other AI tools
