With the Smart BCC functionality, it is possible to send all messages you want to log in Simplicate to one email address.
Simplicate will then automatically recognize which timelines are relevant based on the content of your email. To use this functionality, you need to send an email to:
โ[companyname]@in.simplicate.nl
โNote: this is the name of your personal Simplicate environment/domain. Enter it here without square brackets.
You will immediately receive an email back from Simplicate. If a timeline is found in the CRM module, Simplicate automatically logs the email to the timeline based on the linked contacts at that relation. If another module (or multiple modules) also contains a relevant timeline, it is possible to log the message to that timeline with just one click. The reverse also applies: if you do not want a message to be logged to the CRM timeline, you can deselect it.
Aliases
For security reasons, Simplicate first checks whether the email address from which the Smart BCC email originates is registered in Simplicate. If you are working from a mailbox with multiple email addresses, it may be useful to also log emails from those other addresses.
For this, we introduced aliases. You can configure this functionality under My profile in the section Aliases. Every email address you enter here will also be accepted from that moment onward.
Note: an email address can only be added once as a Smart BCC alias. When you use an alias, you indicate that emails coming from that alias belong to user X.
The link between an alias and a user is a one-to-one relationship. When an email from the alias address is logged on a timeline in Simplicate, it will always be connected to the user who added the alias as a Smart BCC address.
Setting minimum file size for attachments
It often happens that you log files in Simplicate via the BCC functionality that you do not actually want to store โ for example, email signatures. Thatโs why you can set, per file extension, what the minimum file size should be via Settings > Smart BCC:
