Hours report

Written by Simplicate Support

The hours report gives you quick and easy insight into the registered hours of employees within your company.

A distinction is made between two different reports.

  • A report for the entire company

  • A report per employee

Report for the Entire Company

The company-wide report gives you an at-a-glance view of how many available hours each employee has.

Once hours are planned or registered, they appear under the 'Registered' column. The calculation for the Available column is:

Schedule hours - Registered = Available.

If an employee has registered more hours than their scheduled hours, the Available column will show a negative number.

Click 'Export' in the top right to view all hour entries in Excel and perform further analysis.

Report per Employee

In the individual report per employee, you can see exactly which entries have been corrected.

Click 'Export' in the top right to view all of an employee's hour entries in Excel and perform further analysis. Filters applied in Simplicate also carry over to the export — for example, you can export a leave overview for a specific employee.

  • Schedule hours: The total number of scheduled hours over a period

  • Registered hours: The total number of registered hours over a period

Productivity

This is the percentage of hours that is productive. Productive hours are all hours registered on a billable project (internal projects are not counted). KPI

  • Indirect: Indirect hours as a percentage of registered hours

  • Direct: Direct hours as a percentage of registered hours

Billability

Billability is productivity adjusted for corrections (write-downs and write-ups). In formula form:

KPI

  • Non-billable: Non-billable hours as a percentage of registered hours

  • Billable: Billable hours as a percentage of registered hours

For more information on productivity & billability, see our support articles:

  • Corrections: the total value in euros of corrections to billable hours
