In short

Each customer of Simplicate has its own address. This could be, for example, [environment].simplicate.nl or .com.

In steps, we are working towards a number of new domains:

  1. All users will eventually log in via the .app domain, for example: [environment].simplicate.app and no longer via .nl or .com

  2. Approving quotes will take place via a separate domain: doccloud.link

  3. At a later stage, connections via our API will go through: [domain].simplicate.io

For a smooth transition, the transition will be carried out in several phases.

Why this transition?

This change is part of a series of announced improvements to reduce the likelihood of spam marking. In addition, it makes our service better able to withstand disruptions because different systems have less influence on each other.

Acties en status

The following changes will be implemented in the coming period, or have already been implemented. Click on the phase for more details.

1. Use of the new .app domain for all users

What changes?

All users will eventually log in via [environment].simplicate.app.

Current situation

Currently, it is possible to log in via .nl, .com, and .app.

Our advice is to use Simplicate via .app.

Required action and impact

If you have a shortcut or link to Simplicate in your favorites, change the address to .app by right-clicking on it and choosing edit.

Open Simplicate from now on via .app.

Deadline

From mid-summer, the use of the .nl and .com domains will no longer be possible. Everyone will then use [environment].simplicate.app.

2. Sending emails via the @simplicate.app domain

What changes?

Emails sent from the software will be sent from @simplicate.app.

Required action and impact

As a user, you will not notice any difference except for a different sender address. If you have set up your own domain, nothing will change.

If you are an application/system administrator and have added simplicate.nl/.com to the whitelist of your spam filter, add simplicate.app as well.

Deadline

This rollout will take place on Monday evening, May 15th, 2023.

3. Links in emails to the .app domain

What changes?

Links in emails will default to [environment].simplicate.app.

Required action and impact

The first time you open Simplicate via [environment].simplicate.app, you will need to log in again. Apart from this, nothing will change.

Deadline

This rollout will take place on Monday evening, May 15th, 2023.

4. Links from add-ons refer to the .app domain by default (later)

What changes?

Links from the Outlook/Gmail/browser extension will refer to [environment].simplicate.app by default.

Current situation

Currently, [environment].simplicate.nl and .com are still being referred to. The software remains accessible through these domains.

Required action and impact

No action is currently required.

Expected deadline

Not yet known.

5. Use of new .io domain for API integrations (later)

What changes?

Technical integrations (through our API) will move to: [environment].simplicate.io.

Current situation

Currently, you connect through the API at .simplicate.nl or .com. In a later stage, this will be .simplicate.io. Currently, the use of .io is not yet possible.

Required action and impact

No action is currently required. More information will follow later.

Expected deadline

Not yet known.

Example of an e-mail for internal use that you can send to your colleagues:

Dear colleague,

In the coming period, the Simplicate software will be transferred to a new domain. This will change the login address.

Currently, you log in via [environment].simplicate.nl or .com.

For everyone, this will be: [environment].simplicate.app

You probably have a bookmark or link in your favorites to Simplicate. Change this address from .nl/.com to .app by right-clicking and choosing 'edit'.

You will need to log in again once on your first visit. Everything else works the same.

There is a transition period during which both the old and new address can be used. We will let you know when this changes.

Have a good day!
