Outbound email

Easily check if your email has been successfully delivered to the recipient.

Regardless of which email address you send quotes and invoices from, we make it possible for you to see whether a quote or invoice has been sent successfully or not. Here, you can see all the details of the emails sent from Simplicate, including:

  • Date / time

  • Status

  • Used Microsoft mailbox

  • Sent by

  • Recipient

  • Subject

The outgoing mail can be used to check, among other things, whether an email has been sent or not. You can find the 'outbound email' via settings > 'Account' > 'Outbound email'. In the outgoing mail there is an option to filter specific characteristics of an email.

The filters you can use are:

  1. Date/Time: This filter allows you to search for a specific date/period without having to scroll through all the tabs.

  2. Sent To: This filter allows you to search by the recipient of the email:

    1. Employee*: Internal emails such as workflows, notifications, invitation emails, and password recovery emails.
      *This filter is based on the receiving email address. If it is known as an employee, it will be identified as such. If the email address is not known, for example, it could be an invoice or a quote.

    2. External: Quotes, approval emails, and invoices.

  3. Used Microsoft Mailbox: This filter allows you to search for emails that were, may have been, or were not sent to a Microsoft mailbox.

  4. Sent As: This filter allows you to search for a specific type of email. For example, a quote or an invoice. Please note: This only applies to emails sent from January 24, 2023, onwards.

  5. Status: This filter allows you to search for emails and their status. The status can be:
    a. Held: These emails were not actually sent to the customer. These may be inactive email addresses (people) and/or demo addresses.


    b. Resent*: When you have resent this email via the 'resend button':


    *This option is only available when the email was sent via Mandrill (Sent Email). Postmark does not have this feature (Sent Emails (v2)).


    c. Sent**: Emails that have been sent to a recipient
    **Previously, this status was called 'delivered'.


    d. Bounced: These emails have not been delivered. First, check if the recipient's email address is correct.

    The information you see here is updated every 15 minutes.


    Sending domains
    By default, the quotes and invoices you send from Simplicate are sent from [email protected]. You can choose to send the emails from your own domain, so the sender is your own email address. However, we cannot simply send emails from your domain name. To do this, it is necessary to set up a few things.

    Please note: For security reasons, it is not possible to send emails from your own domain in demo environments.
