A workflow captures recurring work in a fixed sequence of steps, with a responsible person and a deadline for each step. That way, work that repeats — onboarding a client, a filing cycle, a recurring deliverable — runs the same way every time, without anyone having to rethink it or keep track of it. That's exactly the idea behind Simplicate: removing unnecessary complexity from everyday work, so your team's time goes to your clients rather than to figuring out what comes next.
This report shows whether that setup actually holds up in practice. How many workflows are still open with a deadline from last year? What is the status of everything that's been created, and what is the average lead time? You can see where work is piling up, what is overdue, and what keeps lingering — so you can make targeted adjustments to both the workload and your workflow setup.
Note: personal workflows linked to employees in your organization (from the HRM module) are excluded from this report for privacy reasons.
Report structure
At the top is the filter bar; below it a block with totals, a series of charts, and the Detail view (the table).
Created per month
Shows how many workflows were started per month. This way you see the inflow of new work and recognize the months when things get busy — useful for freeing up capacity in time.
Open workflows by current step deadline
Distributes the open workflows by the deadline of the step they're in right now. At a glance you see what needs to be finished in the short term and what is already overdue.
Open workflows by workflow deadline
Does the same for the final deadline of the entire workflow. Where the previous chart looks at the next step, here you see which workflows are under pressure as a whole.
Number of workflows by type
Shows how your workflows are distributed across the types. This way you see which kind of work occurs most often and where the bulk of your work lies.
Open workflows by responsible
Shows how many workflows are still open per responsible person. This way you keep an eye on the workload distribution and see whether work is piling up with one person.
Average lead time of completed workflows in days
Shows the average lead time in days per type, measured from creation to the last modification of completed workflows. This way you see which work keeps lingering and where the lead time can be shortened.

Points to keep in mind
Some data fields are cleared once a workflow is set to completed. Filtering on those fields may therefore produce different results than expected. This applies to Step, Responsible, and Created by.
