Which clients generate the highest gross margin, and how much margin was achieved over a given period? Those are the questions the Gross margin per project report answers. We calculate gross margin as Invoiced − Purchase price of costs; we also show the cost price of hours and the project result, among other things.

How to use this report
Find out which client generates the most revenue in a period and which project manager is responsible for the most margin. If you see a disappointing result for a relation, click on it (or select it as a filter) to see when it arose and which project managers are involved; then look in the Detail view to see which services are causing it.
Note: for the project result we look at what you invoiced in the period minus your costs in that same period. If you do not invoice monthly, a result per month in this report is not very meaningful.
