Insights: Invoiced Revenue by Industry and Relation

Provides insight into invoiced revenue broken down by industry. This quickly gives you a picture of which industries you are most active in.

Written by Simplicate Support

The Invoiced per industry and relation report gives you insight into your invoiced revenue, broken down by industry. You record which industries your debtors operate in within CRM; this shows you which markets you are strong in and which are lagging.

The industry data comes from CRM. To learn how to set it up and adjust it, read this article.

How the report is built up

At the top is the filter bar; below it a block of totals (Total invoiced), the Trend over selected period chart, the Invoiced per industry and per customer charts, the per revenue group and per service charts, and the Detail view (the table).

Trend over selected period

Tracks how your invoiced revenue develops over time, so you see growth or decline in a single line.

Invoiced per industry

Puts the invoiced revenue per industry side by side. Here you see how dependent you are on a sector: if one or two industries carry the bulk, your revenue moves with that market. Click through on an industry to zoom the rest of the report in on it.

Total invoiced, by customer

The same revenue, now per customer — your customer concentration. A handful of customers bringing in the largest share is fine, but also a dependency to keep an eye on. Select a period to easily pull up your top customers of, say, last year.

Total invoiced, by revenue group

Splits the revenue across your revenue groups — collections of services that often mirror your main activities. This shows where the bulk of your revenue sits, and whether that matches where you want to focus.

Total invoiced, by service

Gives a more detailed view than the revenue group: the revenue per service. This shows which services are growing or shrinking, so you can steer your offering and capacity toward shifting demand.

Detail view

The table shows the invoiced revenue at invoice-line level. Via Kolommen you choose which columns are visible, and via Export you download the data.
