Simplicate comes with the following standard VAT codes:

Please note: You cannot add new VAT codes yourself. They can be added upon request. For possibilities, email [email protected].

The description of the VAT codes will appear on the invoice. You can adjust this by clicking on the VAT line.

Note: If a VAT code is blocked, you cannot select it for a service or invoice.

VAT Codes for Foreign Countries

For invoicing to foreign countries, the following VAT codes apply:

  • Outside the Netherlands, but within the EU: ICP

  • Outside the EU: VBEU

In some cases, it's mandatory to state on the invoice why no VAT is charged, for example, with ICP. You can set the text yourself on the VAT code: "Btw verlegd" (VAT reverse-charged) / "Exempt from VAT."
