In addition to uploading a standard logo (done via Settings > General > Company profile > ‘Branding’ tab), you can further personalize the layout of your invoices and match it to your own corporate identity by using stationery. Below, we explain how to set up your stationery.
Go to Settings > General > Stationery. Here you can upload one or more types of stationery, which you will later (in this setup process) link to a template in combination with a company profile (more on this later).
Drag the file or click to add it. Note: only a *.jpeg format is accepted. The file must also meet the following minimum requirements:
Image size: 1240 x 1754 pixels
Image DPI: 150 pixels/inch
The height-to-width ratio must be: 1.4142 (this is based on A4 format). The calculation is as follows: 1240 * 1.4142 = 1753.8 (rounded to 1754).
After adding the correct file, set the margins.
Note: the margins apply to the text and price tables in the invoices. If the footer overlaps with the price table, you can resolve this by adjusting the margins yourself. It is recommended to adjust both the stationery margins and the footer margins. The latter can be done via Settings > Invoices > Invoice template > ‘Footer’ tab.
If you want to move the logo or other elements on the stationery, you must adjust the stationery file itself and re-upload it.
You can also set a continuation sheet with three options:
Same as first page – The uploaded letterhead will automatically be applied to all pages.
Blank (white) – The uploaded stationery will only be shown on the first page. All subsequent pages will be plain white without a layout.
Different – You have the option to upload and apply a separate file for all subsequent pages.
Once you have set everything correctly, click the ‘Preview’ button (top right) to see how it looks. Note: this preview contains “lorem ipsum” text to display spacing correctly.
Separate stationery per template and company profile
As the final step, you must link the stationery to an invoice template.
Go to Settings > Invoices > Invoice templates > Then click on a template.
Next, go to the ‘Stationery’ tab. Here you can select the correct stationery for each company profile.
