🆕 Get started in Simplicate with an overview

Available in all subscriptions.

You’ll now be welcomed in Simplicate with a completely redesigned start screen. Here you can see useful information such as your registred hours, planned leave, colleagues’ birthdays, and the latest Simplicate product updates.

🆕 Adjust installment plans after invoicing

Available in all subscriptions.

It’s now possible to adjust the installment plan of a fixed-price service, even after some installments have already been invoiced — as long as the service is the only one in that installment plan. When project scopes change, you can now invoice more accurately and prevent services from staying open unnecessarily.

🆕 New password policy

Available in all subscriptions.

At Simplicate, the security of your data is always our top priority. That’s why we’re updating our password policy.

Until now, you could decide whether passwords had to meet the standard policy (minimum of 6 characters) or the strong password policy (minimum of 10 characters, including an uppercase letter and a special character).

Most of our customers already use the strong password policy combined with two-factor authentication (2FA). Because the protection of your data is an absolute priority for us, we are now fully switching to this strong password policy and tightening the requirements even further.

What’s changing?

  • It will no longer be possible to use the standard (non-strong) password policy.

  • The next time a user needs to change their password, it must comply with the new, stricter strong password policy.

  • This applies to all users and all Simplicate environments, even if a strong password policy was not previously enabled.

  • This change will take place on the 7th of november 2025.

We’re also introducing settings that allow you to:

  • Require a minimum password length for users,

  • Prevent password reuse,

  • Set a password expiration period, and

  • Enforce the use of very strong passwords.

We understand that setting a new password may sometimes be a bit more challenging. However, we believe this is a necessary step — secure passwords are essential for protecting your company data.

Our advice:

  • Use a password manager to easily generate and store strong, unique passwords.

  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for additional security.

  • Do you log in with Google or Microsoft? You can continue to safely use those accounts to access Simplicate.

We trust you understand the importance of this change. With this enhanced password policy, we meet high standards of information security and reduce the risk of data breaches or unauthorized access — together.

Other improvements

  • Add a CC email address for invoicing to individuals
Previously, it was already possible to add extra email addresses for companies in CRM. Now, you can also send quotes and invoices for individuals to multiple email addresses.

  • New placeholders for CRM addresses in the quote editor
We’ve added new placeholders for the postal and visiting addresses of CRM relations. You can now decide which address information to include, giving you more control over the layout of the address in your quotes.

  • From now on, you can record a discipline for each employee in HRM. Simplicate will automatically use this information in the hours module: the correct hour type will be pre-filled for you. This saves time and reduces the risk of errors. Of course, you can still adjust the hour type if needed.
