Certain activities recur periodically; examples include daily stand-ups and weekly meetings.
Configuration
To repeat calendar items periodically in your calendar, you only need to create the calendar item once and select the correct recurrence pattern:
Start by adding a time block to the calendar in the usual way.
Then, via the ‘More options’ button, you can set the recurrence pattern.
You can choose from different recurrence patterns. Additionally, you specify until which date the recurrence should apply.
Note: Time entries can be repeated up to a maximum of one year in the future.
You can tell from an icon at the top of the time block that the time block is part of a series.
Modifications
You have three options when editing a registration that is part of a series:
Current registration
This only updates the selected time block. The time block will no longer be part of the series.
Current and future registrations
The change only applies to the selected time block and all future time blocks. All time blocks remain part of the same series, including those in the past.
Note: Hours that have already been approved/invoiced will not be modified.
All registrations
The change applies to the entire series, including all time blocks in the past, present, and future.
Note: Hours that have already been approved/invoiced will not be modified.
Interaction with external calendar
Outside of Simplicate, you can also set a recurrence pattern in your external calendar. These hours can be forwarded to your Simplicate calendar via the Two-way calendar integration. For more on this, see:
The calendar in which you set the recurrence pattern is the only calendar where you can make changes that should apply to the series.
In the article below, you can read how to register recurring leave or absence.
