Are you encountering error messages when importing companies or persons? Find the most common error messages from your downloaded error file here.

During the import of persons or companies, you may encounter various error messages. But what do these error messages in the error file mean, and what do you need to correct? This article will help you with that.

Good to know: the error rows from the error file will not be imported as long as the content is not filled in correctly. The import rows that do meet the conditions will be imported. Simplicate offers the possibility to import companies or persons independently.

Companies

When importing companies, several common error messages can occur. These error messages relate to fields that must contain a specific value. If the values in these fields are not filled in correctly in Simplicate, you can expect the following error messages:

  • Relation number already exists

  • Email: Invalid email address

  • Unknown account manager

  • Unknown payment terms

  • Relatiesoort: Unknown relation type (Relationship type: Unknown relationship type)

  • Accountmanager: Unknown account manager

  • Branche: Unknown branche (Industry: Unknown industry)

  • Bedrijfsgrootte: Unknown organization size (Company size: Unknown organization size)

  • Betaalconditie: Unknown payment terms (Payment condition: Unknown payment terms)

  • Bezoekadres land: Invalid country (Visiting address country: Invalid country)

For the other fields, free text input is allowed. Fields with free text input are not checked for factual correctness. Therefore, always carefully check that the data is entered correctly.

A typo in these fields will initially not have a major negative impact but can lead to adjustments later. To prevent this, we advise you to check all fields thoroughly.

Common Company Error Explanations

Relation number already exists

The relation number is already in use under CRM companies. The relation number must be changed to a combination that has not yet been used.

Is automatic relation numbering used via the counter? If automatic relation numbering is currently applied, it is possible that this number sequence was previously used manually when different settings were used for the environment. For this relationship, a different relation number must be chosen. Using the CRM module for persons and companies, it is possible to search for relation numbers or by performing an export from the CRM module. This provides insight into which relation numbers are already in use and which may still be available.
