Time Tracking – Nobody’s Favorite Task
One of Simplicate’s core functionalities is time tracking within the time module. Accurately logging hours provides insights into how your time is spent and how it relates to your budgets. It also forms the basis for invoicing when working with post-calculation services. This article further explains why complete time tracking is so important.
Keeping track of your activities throughout the day can be difficult and not always enjoyable. For example, when exactly did you start working for Client A before switching to Client B? To make this process easier, an integration between Simplicate and ClockAssist has been developed to automatically and accurately track your time usage.
This integration not only records the time spent on tasks but also documents what you worked on. This serves as a helpful reference when logging your hours, eliminating the need to manually track every activity while allowing you to focus on your work.

How to Install the Integration
The integration with ClockAssist can be easily installed through Simplicate’s settings under Account > Add-ons & Integrations.
Click Activate for Simplicate for free to start the setup.
Enter your email address and install the ClockAssist browser extension.
ClockAssist currently offers extensions for:
Google Chrome
Firefox
Microsoft Edge
Safari
All Chromium-based browsers (e.g., Arc, Brave, Opera)
Once you’ve installed the extension, return to the time module in Simplicate. You may need to refresh the page. You will then see a ClockAssist window appear at the bottom right of your screen.
And that’s it! You can now start using the integration. Within minutes, ClockAssist will begin tracking and mapping your activities automatically.
